At Castillo Cordero & Asociados, SRL, we respect the privacy of those who visit our site and contact us. This policy explains what information we receive, what we use it for, and how you can exercise your rights.

1.Responsible party and contact

Castillo Cordero & Asociados, SRL (the "Firm"), with address at Juan Sánchez Ramírez Street No. 42, corner of José Desiderio Valverde, University Zone, National District, Dominican Republic.

For privacy matters you can write to us or call us through any of those channels.

2.Information we received

  • Inquiries: Name, phone number, email address, company, and the message you send via the forms, email, phone, or WhatsApp. Some forms may request additional information related to the service.
  • Professional relationship: Information and documents necessary to evaluate, contract or provide legal services, as well as billing information where applicable.
  • Site usage: IP address, browser technical data, security logs and data associated with cookies or integrated services, depending on your configuration and the operation of the site.
We ask that in the first contact you do not include sensitive data or lengthy documents if they are not necessary to explain your request.

3.What do we use the data for?

  • Answering inquiries, coordinating meetings, and preparing service proposals.
  • Manage the professional relationship, files, communications, and billing.
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations and to protect the security of the site and our communications.
  • We will only send you content or news from the company when appropriate and in accordance with your preferences; you can request that we stop sending them.

We process your information in accordance with the Dominican Constitution, Law No. 172-13 on the comprehensive protection of personal data, and other applicable regulations. Depending on the case, the processing is based on your request or consent, the provision of a service, or a legal obligation. We do not sell your personal data.

4.Forms and external services

Messages submitted through the site's forms are sent to our email systems and may be logged in WordPress for tracking purposes. We use hosting, email, and security providers to operate the site.

The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to reduce spam; its operation may involve Google receiving technical information about your device and interaction. The map on the Contact page is a Google Maps service. Please see Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

The WhatsApp buttons open a conversation with a predefined message that includes the name of the page you're writing from, so we know where your inquiry originates. These communications will also be subject to WhatsApp's privacy policies and practices. Before sharing particularly sensitive information, you can request an appropriate channel.

5.Cookies and measurement tools

This site uses cookies necessary for its operation, security, and performance, as well as cookies and technologies from integrated third-party services. In particular:

  • Meta Pixel (Facebook): The site includes this pixel, which allows Meta to receive information about your browsing and device, such as the pages you visit, to measure site activity and, where used, advertising campaigns. See the Meta's privacy policy.
  • Google: reCAPTCHA, Google Maps and, if you choose Italian, Google Translate, may set cookies or receive technical data from your browser.

You can review, delete, or block cookies through your browser settings; however, some features may be affected. If we incorporate new measurement or advertising tools that require additional choices, we will update this information and the corresponding control mechanisms.

6.Language and machine translation

The site is written in Spanish. The English versions are generated using Google Translate, which processes the site's public text, not the data you submit through forms. When you select Italian, your browser connects to Google Translate and saves a cookie with your language preference. You can switch back to Spanish at any time using the language selector in the header.

7.With whom we share information

Access to your data is granted to the individuals within the firm who need to process your request or file. Technology providers, collaborating professionals—such as notaries or experts, when the matter requires it—and competent authorities may also be involved when there is a legal obligation. We limit the information shared to what is necessary for each purpose and adhere to the duty of professional confidentiality.

Some technology providers may process data outside the Dominican Republic. In those cases, we evaluate the terms of service and the applicable measures to protect information in accordance with relevant regulations.

8.Conservation and safety

We retain inquiries and files for as long as necessary to respond, provide services, fulfill professional or legal obligations, and address potential claims. Timeframes depend on the type of information and the matter.

We apply reasonable security measures and restrict access according to each person's role; no system offers absolute security.

9.Your rights

You can request access to your data, its correction or updating, and, where applicable, object to its processing or request its cancellation in accordance with Law No. 172-13. Write to us at info@castillocordero.com with a description of your request.

We may request reasonable information to verify your identity and locate the data, without asking for more than necessary. You may also pursue any applicable legal remedies, including habeas data.

10.Minors and external links

This site is intended for adults. If a legal matter requires data concerning children or adolescents, we will handle it with the appropriate safeguards and representation.

Links to other sites, including social networks, are governed by the policies of their respective owners.

11.Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in applicable services, technologies, or regulations. The current version will be posted here with its update date.
